Megan Dykeman is a seasoned executive leader, governance expert, and strategic advisor with a distinguished career spanning government, non-profit, and corporate sectors. As the Managing Director of Strategics Canada, she leads a boutique consulting firm specializing in governance, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building for organizations across Canada.
With a strong background in public service, Megan served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Langley East from 2020 to 2024 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development and Non-Profits, with a mandate to support and engage charitable organizations and non-profits as their advocate and primary point of contact within government. In this role, she was a recognized leader, working directly with the sector to amplify impact, strengthen governance, and advance strategic policy reforms at the provincial level.
Before entering provincial politics, Megan served three terms (2011–2020) in elected local government as Trustee and Chair of the Langley Board of Education, where she played a key role in advancing policy, strategic planning, and stakeholder relations She also served as President of the Parliamentarians Association of British Columbia (PABC), a provincial affiliate of the National Association of Parliamentarians established in 1995 to promote parliamentary knowledge and provide educational and leadership opportunities for its members.
Megan holds a Master’s in International Relations (with distinction), a BPA in Governance, Law, and Management (Honours). She has further honed her expertise in negotiation and leadership through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. A Certified Arbitrator & Mediator, she brings deep expertise in mediation, dispute resolution, complex negotiations, and governance best practices.
A recognized authority in governance, leadership, negotiations, and strategic decision-making, Megan is known for her ability to navigate complexity and drive organizational transformation while fostering meaningful partnerships, making her a trusted advisor for organizations seeking to overcome challenges, enhance governance, and achieve strategic results.
